About Te Mata Bullnose Syrah 2014
"Think this is the 25th vintage of Bullnose. I recall I bought a couple of bottles of the 2007 (or was it the 2005) some time ago. Likely should check up on one of those.
Reductive with smoky bacon bones, black pepper, blue fruits and floral perfume. Slides along, a bit of the old graphite in the tannin department, well pitched acidity, red and black fruits layered with spice on a medium bodied frame. Very well mannered. Certainly, it’s Syrah over Shiraz and good to drink now, or over the next decade for additional complexity." - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
