The fruit for this wine comes from high altitude vineyards that produce wines of great elegance and finesse.

The Winemaking
The pinot noir grapes were hand picked and whole bunch pressed. The chardonnay proportion was also hand picked but crushed conventionally into a tank press. This blend has been on triage for 27 months before disgorging and liqueuring.
The Comments
The Grant Burge Pinot Noir Chardonnay NV is a wine of great elegance and finesse that is also balanced with flavour and drinkability. The nose has an apricot nougat aroma with plenty of honey and biscuity characters coming through.
It is quite deep in colour and the nose has some meaty, smoky notes as well as bready yeasty overtones. The palate is generously flavoured and full-bodied with good depth and a relatively soft finish. 4 stars" Ralph Kyte-Powell
