Maturation: Matured for 14 months in new (20%) and second and third use American oak.
Deep plum red. The more traditional spicy Shiraz and blackcurrant-like Cabernet fruit is complexed by intriguing Japanese Satsuma plum and green tea aromas. Prune and plum fruit flavours are complexed by coffee and soy nuances. This is a tightly structured, forward drinking wine with hints of vanillin oak and soft, ripe tannins. Phillip John
