2005 Croser is the result of a very good, albeit small sparkling wine crop from the Piccadilly Valley. The blend of 54% Pinot Noir and 46% Chardonnay, all from Petaluma’s vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley, was tiraged into bottle and stored on yeast in the cellars at the Bridgewater Mill prior to disgorging, two years later. The aroma is of apples and faint strawberry with brioche and cream fermentation characters. The subtle fruit and freshness is due to the cool humid climate of the Piccadilly Valley as is the acid spine and savoury finish of the wine.
