Hoddles Creek Yarra Valley Merlot 2006 The fruit for this wine was hand harvested from a select hillside vineyard in the Upper Yarra Valley. Typically the Yarra Valley's long dry growing season helps to achieve that perfect balance between elegance, power and finesse. The aromatic bouquet has an attractive mix of ripe plummy fruit together with some chocolate and violet flavours. the palate shows excellent varietal character in a rich mode, with plummy fruit offset by more spicy savoury flavours running through to a long silky finish.
