White Box Heathcote Shiraz 2006 White Box is a label of the Stuart Wines Company. This is a family owned operation producing wine from the Yarra Valley and Heathcote, the latter being source of grapes for the White Box Wine. The senior winemaker is Peter Wilson, a name you might remember because he was the winemaker for Yarra Yering for 10 years. Lincoln Scott, Winorama White Box Wine is an exciting new venture for Stuart Wines Co in the Heathcote area of Victoria. The company has established 70 hectares of vineyard and a large, modern winery in this famed wine region. White Box Wines are so named because the vineyard property nurtures one of the largest remnant stands of the White Box eucalypt trees. White Box wines are made from grapes grown on our vineyard in the Heathcote district. The intensity of colour and flavour of the wines are expressions of the dry and mild climate and old Cambrian soils of the area. A generous, robust, fruit-driven wine with loads of cherry, chocolate and spicy aromas and flavours. It has a long, delicious and smooth finish.
