The partnership of Ron Laughton and Michel Chapoutier is now well established with La Pleiade Shiraz receiving international acclaim. Several times a year Michel travels to Australia to contribute to each and every wine they produce together. They commissioned the production of huge concrete open fermenters to ensure the La Pleiade Shiraz would be a wine of individual personality, complexity and reflect their shared passion for an untouched biodynamic vineyard. I am happy to offer this very limited release to you.

‘La Pleiade (pron. plee-ard; The Pleiades), is a beautiful star cluster visible from Australia and France that celebrates our global friendship in wine. Grown, made and bottled in Heathcote with equal input from both partners, the fabulous 2006 vintage expresses the Cambrian soil regional trademark depth of colour, intensity of flavours and great complexity with perfect balance from our low yielding un-irrigated biodynamic vineyard. Even with an Australian and French touch, terroir prevails. Powerful and approachable now, with long cellaring potential if you have the patience.
