The Tintara Cellars range captures the unique historical strength of Tintara introduced by Thomas Hardy. A winery of great tradition, the winery has been an integral part of McLaren Vale for over 143 years. Wines made in the Cellars exemplify the characteristics of McLaren Vale and have created an enviable reputation, showing flavour richness and consistent quality.
Deep crimson red in colour with indigo hues, the Tintara Cellars Cabernet exhibits traditional varietal characters of earth, cassis, mint and blackberry, with subtle wafts of herbs, leather and tea. On the palate the Tintara Cellars Cabernet displays pure ripe fruit, with typical McLaren Vale characters of currants, and blackfruits, which are ripe and juicy on the front palate, leading into a rich, long palate of leather, earth and eucalyptus. The tannins are strong but ripe, giving structure, balance and longevity of flavour.
