With 135 acres spread throughout some of the most impressive appellations of the southern Rhône, Christophe Delorme and his brother took over this estate in the early to mid- 1990s and have done nothing but produce one exquisite wine after another. Of course, the top cuvées of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are rare and expensive, but this is a place to find terrific Cotes-du-Rhone and Lirac as well. Delorme is equally adept at dry whites as well as reds, and turns out some stunning rosés both under the Cotes-du-Rhone and Tavel appellations." Robert Parker Jnr
From 80 to 100 year old vines in Le Crau and Les Galimardes, Grenache represents 80% of this wine with the balance made up by Mourvèdre, Syrah, Counoise and Vaccarese. It has massive concentration, and is ripe and dense with anise, spice, liquorice, briary complexity and lashings of black fruits. The palate is loaded with sweet ripe dense black currant and black berry fruits it is rich and tannic with an incredibly powerful finish that somehow remains fresh.
"Smoky, brooding bouquet with a lot of content; deep, sustained black fruits on palate, olives and southern herbs as well. Good life in this, it is open-sided with a fringe of tannin that works well.
