del Rios Mt Anakie Sauvignon Blanc 2006 The del Rios vineyard and winery is located on the western slopes of Mt Anakie in the Geelong region of Victoria, Australia and offers distinctive premium cool climate wines. It is part of the Moorabool valley sub-region of Geelong, which is experiencing a period of rediscovery. Over 70 percent of the early vineyards planted in the Geelong region in the 19 th century were in this area, which ranges from Bannockburn and Lethbridge to Anakie and the area experiences a "continental" climate with low rainfall producing fruit with a rich concentration of flavour, aroma and colour. The del Rios story started in Anakie in 1994. We believe that great wines are produced from the best quality grapes. Thus the vines are hand-pruned and trained, the fruit is hand picked and the wines are handcrafted solely from estate grown fruit with the aim of producing super premium wines.
