Axedale Reef is located approximately 20km east of Bendigo in the Campaspe River Valley. The well-drained ancient calcareous soils overlie gold-bearing quartz reefs that are once again being mined for their precious ore. The climate is Mediterranean.
To produce great value wines with ample flavour that are easy to drink, from premium grapes sourced from Axedale Reef and other local vineyards. Dark purple. Intense aromas of black cherries, plums, chocolate and vanilla. The palate is rich and mouth filling with a cleansing acidity. Cellar up to 5 years.
