Sauvignon Blanc seems, at least to me, to be hideously over-priced for what it is. Here’s a bargain so you can flick pass some of the $25 jobbies to the next punter…
Crisp, dry and composed rather than overt or flashy with gooseberry, passionfruit and quite specific grapefruitiness. There’s a bit of sweat and grassiness, but not much, and the flavours are sour edged rather than sweet - it feels more Euro than Kiwi. It’s refreshing and stylish with a very dry minerally finish. Bye bye Oyster Bay. 92 Points Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
