Ca'Marcanda Promis IGT 2005
This wine is a blend of Merlot and Syrah with a touch of Sangiovese. This wine is poured by the glass in hundreds of wine bars around Italy and it is a very good wine for what it is. The Merlot gives it a softness on the front palate, the Syrah really rounds the palate out and the Sangio adds some spice to this lively palate. Quite a big wine, with some strong tannins but there are in harmony with this lovely fruits. 91 points Anthony D'Anna

Angelo Gaja shuttles back and forth from his home base in Piedmont to Tuscany as if his properties were next to each other rather than separated by hundreds of kilometers.
