Made from one of Australia's greatest Riesling producers, with access to Australia's greatest Riesling vineyards. The 2009 vintage in the Clare Valley was one of the great Riesling vintages on record. With this in mind, the team at Boccaccio knew that with access to Australia's greatest Riesling vineyards and all things being equal, this was the year fo us to make another Unlabelled Riesling but with a twist!!
From the same producer of our Unlabelled Clare Valley 'The Greatest' Riesling 2009, we have a German inspired Riesling aptly named 'Kabinett'.
Kabinett (literal meaning: cabinet), or sometimes Kabinettwein (literal meaning: a wine set aside in a cabinet), is a German language wine term for a wine which is made from fully ripened grapes of the main harvest, typically picked in September, and are usually made in a light style. In the German wine classification system, Kabinett is the lowest level of Prädikatswein, lower in ripeness than Spätlese.[1] A German Kabinett is semi-sweet (lieblich) by default, but may be dry (trocken) or off-dry (halbtrocken) if designated so.
