Greenhough Nelson Pinot Noir 2006
Touch of class. Effortless mid palate, lots of fruit flavour, chalky, drying tannins and a juicy finish - the thing I really like about Nelson pinots is that they're far more food-friendly than their more southern counterparts. This drinks like a charm, without ever seeming simple or sweet or fruit-lush. Mulch, sour cherries, smoke, spice, cedar - really good. Drink: 2008-2013. 92 points. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Eight clones, hand picked with 10% whole bunch fermentation. I have a range of wines to try from this producer and it looks like being an excellent addition to the already excellent portfolio of Victorian distributor Linear Acidity
Aromas of cherry, strawberry, a little chocolate, light creamy oak and heavy white pepper characters. On the palate medium bodied with cherry, strawberry, pepper, spice and sour edged tamarillo flavours. Bright acidity and sappy grainy tannins. Good dry spicy finish. Varietal and tasty. A good wine but I find the white pepper characters a bit distracting. 89 points Gary Walsh, Winorama
