Mount Horrocks has well and truly established its own identity in recent years, aided by positive marketing and, equally importantly, wine quality which has resulted in both show success and critical acclaim.
Mount Horrocks was originally the wine-production end of the Ackland Brothers' extensive vineyard holdings. The two have now effectively been split, and Mount Horrocks is dependent on contract-grown grapes through the Watervale region. Sourced from two growers in the Watervale subdistrict of the Clare Valley who continue to both hand-prune and hand-pick their vines. James Halliday
