A beautifully crafted wine: subtle, refined, superbly harmonious and gently complex, with measured hints of buttery, nutty and nougat-like aromas and a scintillating vibrancy on the tongue. It drinks well now and will probably stay on that level for four years, filling out and becoming richer in colour, aromas and flavour, and last for at least 10 years all up. 96 points Best Wines of the Year, Huon Hooke
This Margaret River Chardonnay is firmly positioned among the region's greats. The '06 displays classic grapefruit and green melon varietal aromas, overlaid with mealy and steely complexities, and a layer of spicy oak. The palate is a stylish progression of elaborate flavours with lovely smooth feel and a lingering finish. 5 stars, The Best White, Ralph Kyte-Powell, The Age
Complex and powerful with a range of heady smells including melon, nectarine, lime rind, oatmeal, yeast and clove and vanilla oak. On the palate intense and focussed with bright fruit of the melon and grapefruit kind backed with clove spice oak and biscuitty oatmeal flavours. It has tastefully applied savoury wine maker inputs that highlight (rather than smother) the wonderfully pure fruit. Fine minerally acidity and a light chalkiness provide textural highlights. Finishes dry and savoury with exceptional length. Awesome. Drink : 2007 - 2016 96 points, Gary Walsh, Winorama
The 2005 vintage of this wine won the trophy at the Margaret River Wine Show but this is a far superior wine. Grapefruit, almonds, pristine fruits, lemon, white melon, tight acidity matched by fruit genoristy are all present on the palate. I think this has just started to uncoil and show itself. A class act a almost a bargain for the price. 95 points Anthony D'Anna
