I know that the price is not cheap but it has stayed steady for a number of years now, and with a release like this - it marches fairly convincingly into 'buy" territory. A small amount of viognier does give the nose here quite some sweetness, but it's attractively, and effectively, tempered by rounds of pepper and salami and gorgeously ripened blueberry and black cherry, its fine cedary oak topping it off to perfection. Its tannin structure is a little aggressive and chunky at present - but the wine is very young, and still quite raw. In 12 months time it will be a dinner party slayer. I'm very impressed.
