This is a rare find; unbeatable quality and value for $5.00 a bottle. My advice is to try it, and if you like it, fill up your cars, vans and buses with as many cases as humanly possible because it may be a long time between drinks before we find wine at this quality, for a measly $6.00 a again. This may well be our ‘LAST HURRAH’, at selling wines of this quality at these sorts of prices.
This wine is a wonderfully vibrant deep and dark purple in the glass. The dark cherry and cassis aromas almost jump out of the glass in an almost intoxicating allure. The palate is quite grippy suggesting extended time in the cellar will do this wine no harm, with plenty of wonderfully concentrated and luscious blackcurrant, plum and prune fruit. New oak is hiding somewhere in the depths of all the fruit.
