About
Situated atop a natural amphitheater nearly 400 meters above sea level, this venerable vineyard has thrived for 36 years, commanding a panoramic view of the undulating Roero landscape to the east. Unlike Davide's other wines, this site benefits from richer, darker soils, imparting a more opulent character to the wine. The blend of clay in the soil contributes to a fuller-bodied palate experience. Following fermentation and maceration, which occur in both cement and French oak botti, the wine is aged for three years. The result is a profound, intoxicating elixir, bursting with wild perfumes and depth. While approachable in its youth, beneath its surface lies a tightly wound core of earthy mineral complexity, promising graceful aging potential.
