Ripe blackberry and cassis fruit along with bay leaf notes are heightened by subtle oak and lifted spice characters. The palate unfolds in layers of intense blackberry, plum fruits with savoury characters and with fine oak influence. Fine, varietal and persistent tannins provide the framework for all these flavours. A wine with generosity on the palate and length of flavour.

Simple but clean and well fruited. Mitchelton seem to have their winemaking in ship-shape order; everything is polished and presented as it should be. This wine makes easy-going look easy.
