About Benevelli Piero 'Le Coste' Monforte Barolo 2016

•    Delestage every other day during alcoholic fermentation
•    Submerged-cap maceration lasts 20-25 days, depending on the vintage
•    Aged in second-passage barriques for one year, then in 10-year-old oak botti (40 hL, 20 hL, and 15 hL) for 15 months
•    Aged 8-10 months in bottle before release

 All our vineyards are located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba;
Are intended for the production of this wine 2 hectares of vineyards in the Le Coste di Monforte area, south / south-west exposure.
All the processing in the vineyard is carried out with the utmost respect for the land. absolutely no use of herbicides.
The treatments that are preferred are copper and sulfur. the care for our vineyards is very important: it is the result of what you will taste in the bottle
Age of the vineyard: 25 years
Varietal: Nebbiolo 100%
Vinification: Vinification with emerged cap with daily pump-overs, till the end of fermentation and extended maceration with submerged cap; 30 days of total maceration; alcoholic fermentation folllowed by a malolactic fermentation
Ageing: 10 month in the old barriques, in the second time, Slavonia botti for 12 months; aged in bottle for 6 months
Bottling: In the summer after ageing
Appearance: Deep red with light orange glints
Aroma: Full-bodied with hints of rose, plum, tabacco, coffe, cinnamon and liquorice
Taste: Full-bodied, fresh, balanced, persistent and complex.
