Fruit is selected from the vineyards listed and are predominantly from MV6 clones. The Estate vineyard includes sections B6, C7 and D5 (the only different clone being 777). The Section A Pinot is all from 25 year old vines. Yarrawood showed lots of perfume in 2012 with Lusatia, Emu and Abbey combining aromatics, charm and weight.
Hand picked, sorted and destemmed to six tonne open fermenters. Natural fermentation with ambient yeast. Approximately 20 days of maceration and fermentation. Pressed and drained to tank and allowed to rest for 24 hours before racking via gravity to French oak casks for ten months.
