"The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon from Domaine Eden is a touch more reserved today than it was a year ago, opening in the glass with aromas of crushed wild berries, raspberries, raw cocoa and tobacco, all framed by cedary new oak. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a nicely layered mid-palate, fine tannins and a tangy finish. Cellar it for a couple of years and then follow it for a decade or more.
Domaine Eden was born when Mount Eden Vineyards acquired a neighboring property in 2007. Winemaker and proprietor Jeffrey Patterson supplements the estate’s own Cabernet Sauvignon plantings with grapes purchased from the region’s best growers and sometimes with declassified wine from Domaine Eden. The wines share the classical aesthetic of Mount Eden, with refreshing acidity, moderate alcohol and fine structuring tannins, but their window of drinkability begins a little earlier." - William Kelly, Wine AdvocateSku: 1803
