The bouquet of this wine shows spicy blackberry fruit along with the lifted floral Viognier aromatics. The palate has black fruits, black pepper and fine grained tannins. A medium bodied wine with texture and power but with a fineness that reflects its cool climate origin.
"Absolutely classic Paringa, one of the best - if not the best - of the early starters, with full-on cool climate shiraz thrust. Likewise, classic blackberry, blood plum and licorice flavours are supported by fine tannins and subtle oak." - James Halliday, Wine CompanionSku: 1757
