A blend of three premier crus: Combes (0.33 ha), Perrières (0.44 ha), and Les Creots (0.52 ha). This cuvée reveals a crystalline and precise bouquet with notes of green apple and white peach, accented by hints of crushed limestone. As it opens up, it becomes more intense. It is well-balanced, starting with a peachy note, showing good depth, and slightly creamier than other cuvées with ample weight and a refined finish. Created in 2016 due to frost, this cuvée is named in honor of Colin Morey's late grandmother, Marguerite.
The white wines are whole-bunch pressed, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged on lees for up to 18 months, mostly in 350-liter barrels, with no lees stirring and no filtration.
Burghound describes the 2021 vintage as "the kind of vintage that they absolutely love. Otherwise expressed, it’s a burg geek’s vintage par excellence. The best wines are superbly fresh and transparent as the underlying terroir is wonderfully clear; indeed, it’s at the core of each wine.... Outstanding transparency, though, is not all there is, as the wines are strikingly refreshing and tension-filled."
Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.
Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.
Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:
- Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
- What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).
Pickups on all items are encouraged.
