You can stick a candle in it when you’ve finished; it’s arguably a better closure than the cork it comes with. Importer: Mondo

It’s a little walnutty and malty, red cherry, some liquorice and dried herbs, almond paste. Medium-bodied, fleshy and quite thick with something of a clay-like feel to tannin, dried herbs and raspberry, modest but balanced acidity, with a silty and savoury finish of good length, black olive, orange peel and dried herb in the aftertaste. It’s very old school but so good to drink. I wasn’t quite sure about it at first, then I kept coming back to it. A lot. One of those wines that drags you into its vortex. Charismatic.
