Pre-order, Aged to Perfection Just $15 for a 2005 Yarra Valley Reserve Cab (Should Sell $49.99).
Ok, I’ll start this email by saying that when we first received this allocation, it sold out in just one day a clear sign that this wine speaks for itself. We’ve now secured the final allocation available of the Diamond Valley Reserve 2005 Cabernet (arriving mid next week).
This will be a pre order. We have only 3 dozen available in store right now, and the rest will arrive mid-next week. The first customers to order will get what’s currently in stock, while the remaining orders will be fulfilled once the shipment arrives. Unfortunately, that shipment is also limited just 20 dozen and it’s the very last of this wine.
It’s not every day you come across a 20 year old Reserve Cabernet of this quality, let alone at just $15. This mature, unlabelled release from Diamond Valley is an absolute steal for lovers of well aged, cellar worthy reds. I can’t speak highly enough of this Cabernet I honestly don’t know where else you’d find a wine of this age and calibre at the $15 price point.
The 2005 vintage was rated 9/10 by Langton’s, with ideal growing conditions delivering full ripeness, excellent structure, and exceptional long-term cellaring potential.
This unlabelled bottle may fly under the radar, but make no mistake it’s a Reserve level Cabernet Sauvignon, grown, made, and bottled on site at Diamond Valley's vineyard. Low yielding vines on gravel clay soils produced small berries with intense flavour. Now, two decades on, the wine is showing its class: mature tannins, savoury cedar and leather notes, and a long, balanced finish.
A true hidden gem ready to drink now, and near impossible to replace at this price.
Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.
Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.
Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:
- Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
- What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).
Pickups on all items are encouraged.
