From the rolling hills of Langhe, the 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo from G.D. Vajra is a beautifully pure and expressive take on Piedmont’s noble grape. Drawn from younger vines and select parcels across the family’s holdings, it delivers all the perfume and structure Nebbiolo lovers crave, in a more immediate and approachable frame.
The 2024 vintage opens with lifted aromas of rose petal, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry and red cherry, layered with subtle spice, dried herbs and a whisper of tar. On the palate, it is finely structured yet supple, with bright acidity and polished tannins giving shape to the fruit. The finish is savoury and persistent, with hints of anise and earthy minerality.
While accessible in its youth, this Langhe Nebbiolo carries the pedigree and balance to develop gracefully over the medium term. It is a classic expression of variety and place — vibrant, aromatic and unmistakably Piedmontese.
A natural partner to handmade pasta with ragù, grilled meats, mushroom dishes or aged cheeses.
Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.
Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.
Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:
- Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
- What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).
Pickups on all items are encouraged.
