The wine comes from Finca Constancia, nestled just outside Toledo, one of Spain’s most historic and culturally rich cities. Toledo isn’t just beautiful it’s a place with layers of Roman, Jewish, Muslim and Christian influence all woven together. The Altozano label pays tribute to that heritage: the craftsmanship, the artistry, the sword-makers and goldsmiths who made Toledo famous throughout the Spanish Empire. Even the name “Altozano” nods to the region’s elevated terrain, which has shaped its wines for centuries.

Winemaker Beatriz Paniagua puts an incredible amount of care into this Tempranillo. The grapes are picked at night to keep them cool and protect the aromatics. Before fermentation, the fruit gets a cold soak to draw out colour and vibrant fruit character. After fermentation, it spends three months in a mix of French and American oak, giving the wine a subtle touch of spice and smoothness while keeping the focus firmly on freshness and fruit.

And that’s exactly how it tastes bright, juicy and super approachable. You’ll find notes of red and black cherries, soft tannins, and a lovely medium bodied feel that makes it dangerously easy to drink.
