Fermentation takes place in barrel,. of which 50% are new. Further ageing takes place in oak for 18 months. Coutet's plantings are one of the largest in the Barsac region, comprising 75% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle. The wine is renowned for its elegance and style, rather than richness or weight.
