It’s quite a wine. It’s lit up with fragrance and yet at heart it’s dry and structural. It lures you in and then holds you tight. Cherries and blossomy berries abound. Earth and dried, fragrant herbs. Almost into pot pourri territory. Acidity and plenty of it, tangy and fennel-infused. And that finish, that dry, raking length. It’s a pretty wine but it stamps its foot and demands to be taken seriously. It will be fascinating to see how this evolves.
