Smoky, spent campfire thing, spicy, then into juicy cherry, damp earth and spice. Direct, cherry, dried herb and a slight bitter tamarillo character, clean acidity, attractive almost gravelly tannin, good finish, albeit closing with a gustatory chicory bitterness. Like it. Personality.

Fromm's entry level pinot noir and the only one sealed with screwcap rather than cork. Appealing cherry and violet aromas with bright berry and spice flavours. An attractive and accessible wine, with a supple texture and perfect balance of acidity and fruit sweetness. Perhaps a little simple but with good varietal identity.
