Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2017
The Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2017 is a luminous and finely sculpted vintage Champagne that captures the purity and precision of Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Sourced from carefully selected parcels in Avize and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, this prestige Blanc de Blancs reflects the remarkable chalk soils of the region, delivering exceptional minerality, tension and elegance.
Produced by the iconic house of Louis Roederer, this vintage Champagne showcases the meticulous craftsmanship and sustainable vineyard philosophy championed by Frédéric Rouzaud and cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. Many of the estate’s vineyards are now farmed organically and biodynamically, bringing added purity and precision to the final wine.
The 2017 vintage offered excellent balance and vibrant natural acidity, with Chardonnay ripening beautifully across the Côte des Blancs. Fermented partly in oak and partly in stainless steel, the wine combines crystalline freshness with layered texture. Extended lees ageing for around five years further builds depth, finesse and complexity.
In the glass, it shines a pale silvery gold with a persistent fine mousse. The nose is beautifully expressive, revealing aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, green pear, chalk dust and toasted hazelnut, alongside subtle brioche and almond notes. The palate is elegant and creamy, showing citrus, white peach, pastry cream and a distinct saline mineral line that drives through a long, chalky finish.
This is a refined vintage Champagne that drinks beautifully now but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next decade, developing greater toast, honey and nut complexity with cellar age.
Perfect as a prestige aperitif Champagne or paired with oysters, scallop carpaccio, grilled king prawns, sushi, Dover sole or roast chicken.

Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.
Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.
Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:
- Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
- What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).
Pickups on all items are encouraged.
