We’re keeping the producer’s name under wraps, but there’s plenty to get excited about here. This 2021 Bourgogne is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown on hillside vines averaging around 60 years of age, offering an opportunity to explore Burgundy at a much more approachable price.
The fruit is harvested by hand and carefully sorted, before the wine spends 12 months in oak barrels, with just 15% new oak. Expect dark berry fruit and a supple palate framed by fine, silky tannins.
An inviting red for the dinner table, it’s a lovely match for roast chicken, duck, mushroom pasta or a spread of charcuterie.
