50th consecutive vintage release. Fruit from 3 blocks in central Coonawarra on terra rossa soil. Matured for 12 months in French oak (25% new). Blackberries, salted licorice, aniseed and raspberry aromas, the palate follows with blood plum. This is pliable, mid weight and juicy, with a seam of graphite/steel-shaving tannins that course over the palate. Elegant and fine boned. Restrained and understated. Gorgeous.
