This is an excellent, unashamed exhibition of all that the Vale is capable of when the fruit is prime and attention is paid to showcasing it in unequivocal lavishness. The oak is split across American and French sources, the majority from the former. A vanillin char marauds about the palate, at once tidying up the dark fruit flavours oozing along the seams, while conferring a cedar to mocha authority. An excellent delivery of vinous hedonism.
