Wickhams Road Releases a Tasmanian Pinot Noir. A Must Try for Every Household at Just $19.99 a Bottle.

A Tasmanian Pinot Noir for just $19.99 a bottle? You read that right. Tasmania has become one of Australia’s most prized regions for Pinot Noir. The cool climate, clean air, and long daylight hours allow the grapes to ripen slowly, building layers of flavour and finesse you just can’t get anywhere else. Most Pinots from down there easily push past the $40 to $60 mark, which is why this release from Wickhams Road feels almost too good to be true.

Made by Franco D’Anna of Hoddles Creek Estate, this 2025 Wickhams Road Tasmania Pinot Noir shows exactly why Franco has earned such a reputation for incredible value. The fruit comes from selected vineyards around the Tamar Valley near Launceston, an area known for producing some of Tasmania’s most elegant and finely structured Pinots. The cool nights and long, gentle ripening season there give the wine its beautiful balance of bright red fruit and subtle spice.

In the glass, it’s everything you want from Tassie Pinot bright red cherries, wild strawberries, a hint of spice and forest floor, all wrapped up in a silky texture that finishes fresh and clean. It’s light, lifted, and dangerously easy to drink a wine that punches well above its price point.

What really makes this special is how rare it is to see Tassie fruit at this end of the market. The cost of growing grapes down there is high, so most wines never make it under the $30 mark. This one breaks the rule, and does it in style.

Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.

Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.

Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:

  • Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
  • What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).

Pickups on all items are encouraged.
